Max Galofre

Hometown: Barcelona, Spain

Studio Manager

Personal Trainer & Group fitness Instructor

Languages: English, Spanish, Catalan and French

Max discovered his passion for movement and self-improvement at age 5 when he took up Judo at his school. Since then, Max went on to practice multiple other martial arts and several individual and team sports, which continued to set off his endless curiosity for all things movement, from traditional sport specific strength and conditioning to disciplines such as contemporary dance or circus performance.

After years of competing and training for fun, Max moved to Ireland to study Personal Training under great coaches such as Mike McGurn and Karl Gilligan. After graduating with top marks he was offered a position at one of the best gyms in the country where he started working as a personal trainer, while also programming for online clients in other countries, running several group classes in gyms in Dublin and meeting renowned athletes, coaches and fitness influencers.

It was around this time when Max truly fell in love with personal training seeing the incredible effects it could have on people’s lives, realizing that, through training, most of his clients were overcoming a lot more than just physical obstacles. That personal journey is what still motivates Max to help new clients.

In 2019, he decided to move back home to Barcelona to establish himself as an independent coach and continue his education. Nowadays, Max is focused on developing his own skills as an athlete and as a coach, continuing his education and finding new ways to apply it all to make his clients’ sessions and programs more enjoyable and effective.

Harriet grew up in the rural Essex, English countryside and moved to London where she trained and worked as specialist physiotherapist in the areas of chronic pain and fatigue in the National Health Service (NHS). She has 13 years experience working with and providing rehabilitation for adults with complex physical and mental health conditions as well as those that have struggled to return from serious injury.

Harriet’s love of sport and exercise started in early childhood where she became obsessed with football and played for Cambridge United throughout her teenage years. After university she got into running, completing the London Marathon and five half marathons. During the pandemic she began to explore other types of exercise including spinning, boxing, kick-boxing, and kettlebell training as a way of coping whilst working on the frontline in London. She fell in love with high intensity, high energy type fitness so much so, she then decided to train as a personal trainer wanting to combine her expert knowledge of physical, mental health and rehabilitation into fitness and exercise, to provide a compassionate and holistic approach to training.

Harriet moved to Barcelona to continue her fitness journey and develop her professional career as a personal trainer in the sun!

“The experience gained from the time I’ve worked in the NHS has given me perspective on peoples lives and the struggles they go through related to physical and mental health. In 2019 Caitriona joined her first Crossfit gym and immediately fell in love with it. She really enjoyed the fact that the emphasis was put on learning new skills and improving your strength, rather than solely focused on aesthetics and that is how she has always approached her coaching.

“I’m a big advocate for mental health and I believe exercise is for everyone, you just need to find what works for you (I’ve changed the way I train so much over the years!).
